The rate which you hair grows depends on genetics. Most hair grows around a quarter to a half inch every month.   • Although it seems counterproductive, it is important to be getting a trim for your hair regularly. Hair masks are also a great way to keep your hair looking fresh and in good condition. There are ways to make hair masks yourself using products from home. If not, grab a hair mask from your local drugstore. For the best results from these hair masks, place a cup on your head and cover with a towel. After thirty minutes, continue washing and conditioning your hair. There are hair masks you can try using coconut oil, almond oil and honey. If you condition with hair masks once or twice every two weeks, you'll find your hair has a more nourished feel to it.
  • Protein is the building block of hair. The food that you consume can actually impact your hair growth. The more protein you consume, the stronger your hair can grow. Look for eggs, nuts, fish, red meats and other things. Try to incorporate these into a balanced diet.
  • Brush your hair daily for around 2 minutes each morning and night. This will stimulate circulation in your scalp helping to increase blood circulation and spread the hair's natural oils.
